Can't log on

It's Gamegod375 here and when ever i try to log on the server it says it is outdated. Im not sure if thats because of beta or if you changed the IP address. If anyone is having this problem or knows how to fix it reply.

Ah, I've been busy. Didn't restart the server to comply with the update, my bad
I'll need to appoint more mods to have rcon whenever I'm absent.

And it's still happening.. Hmod needs to be updated first, I think. Sorry

I haven't checked, but the server might not be uptaded to Beta yet. Also, there are people talking about how hey0 isn't yet compatible with beta. It may or may not be a few days until hey0 can play nice with the beta server.

These updates suck, but are necessary. Unfortunately I don't want to risk everyone's creations by making the server vanilla, even for four hours. Greifers hang around like vultures, waiting for these times to come.

So the problem with logging on to the server is its not updated to beta yet? Ok thanks i just wanted to know if it was me or not.

Now Notch has fixed it, just got to wait for Tiel to update it.

The problem doesn't lie with either Notch or Tiel at this point. The real problem is that Minecraft had an update which is incompatible with the hey0 mod we're using, and hey0 himself is on vacation for a couple more days. So ... we're just kinda not gonna have a vanilla server because we don't approve of letting griefers destroy everything while our hey0 mod is not working.

Can you just do like a downgrade or something instead of using beta since its full of bugs anyways?

We can run whatever server version we like, as long as there's a copy lying about. If we could find a way to make the end-user's application not automatically go to the newest version, then we'd have a working solution ... but that's not possible with the tools we're given.

Our choices are:
1) Don't update the server, which causes everybody's client to refuse the connection because it's an old server version.
2) Update the server and remove the hey0 mods until hey0 is back from vacation, which opens the whole thing to getting griefed.
3) Wait to update the server until hey0 gets back from vacation and updates his mod so it works with Beta, which is annoying but protects everybody's stuff.

Tiel has opted for choice 3, as I understand it, and I agree with his choice.

By that I'm assuming you actually still have an alpha client then?
